Introduction to the Korean language (Buske Verlag)

Designed especially for students of Korean studies and learners with previous knowledge, this textbook conveys advanced basic knowledge of the Korean language and writing (Han'gul) or linguistic competence in everyday situations and reading skills for simple texts.
The 18 lessons each consist of a Korean-German vocabulary list with example sentences, two to three dialogues or a short text, explanations of grammar, further example sentences and simple structural exercises.
The appendix includes, among other things, the translations of the dialogues and texts, the exercise key and a list of all the vocabulary used in the textbook.

Conception
The volume begins with an introduction to the Korean script Han'gul (letters, syllable structure, pronunciation and spelling).
The 18 lessons cover everyday situations (e.g. leisure activities, travel, student life) and general cultural topics (e.g. traditional holidays, economic development, traffic situation in Seoul). Each lesson consists of the following sections: Korean-German vocabulary list with example sentences, two to three dialogues or a short text, explanations of grammar, additional example sentences and simple structural exercises. The appendix includes, among other things, the translations of the dialogues and texts, the exercise key and a Korean-German list of all the vocabulary used in the textbook.
